Responsible for internal and external communication with brokers, vendors, traders & management Company back office. Ensure all prices are received and researches exceptions by security type. Work with management company and appropriate pricing source to resolve price challenges. Ensure accurate NAV publication and distribution to other internal/external clients and downstream systems. Work with external auditors on year-end pricing review. Position requires strong analytical, communication and multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline drive, team-oriented environment.

  • Daily communication with external brokers, trading, vendors to ensure accurate pricing of securities.
  • Maintain communication with brokers/vendors for MOPS system (Middle Office Pricing System) to make sure brokers price securities in a timely manner.
  • Research and analyze discrepancies and make appropriate recommendations
  • Tolerance Review - research and make updates (when necessary) to 14 reports (currently); Comparison Reports Review and make updates (when necessary) to 13 reports (currently). 
  • New Security Review Trade Prices assign primary vendor/broker; Deliver security to vendor/broker for pricing.

  • Review Corporate Actions for accurate pricing. Communicate with Corp. Actions Dept. with questions/validations/changes necessary for accurate pricing.

  • Validate and communicate with Fund Accounting on Funds Ex-dividend processing.

  • Ensure accurate transmission of NAVs to NASDAQ and other internal/external clients via SSC.

  • Daily communication with ISD Pricing contact to ensure all reports and deadlines are met without interruption for all downstream systems.

  • Understand escalation procedures and implement them when necessary; respond to audit inquiries

  • This position requires strong verbal communication skills as well as above average analytical skills.

  • Proficiency with the full MS Office suite along with a solid working knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters and IDC.

  • Understanding of bonds, stocks, futures and other derivative instruments is required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment is critical. 

  • Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Accounting or a related business major.

  • 1-3 years of mutual fund industry work experience.
