The Marketing Manager is responsible for working with mid-level and senior management to implement strategies that promote Putnam’s brand in U.S. and non-U.S. markets. Building strong working relationships with key members of sales, client service, and investment specialist teams is essential to success.

The Marketing Manager also leads creative teams to develop materials that achieve client objectives while pursuing industry-leading copy and design standards. In terms of deliverables, the position requires managing development of sales materials, collateral, and client materials for print, video, and Web. It also involves overseeing budgets and managing the work of outside translation firms.


Primary responsibilities:

  • Work with manager and senior management to implement strategies to promote Putnam’s brand in U.S. and non-U.S. markets. Develop strategy and obtain buy in from clients.
  • Manage development of sales materials, collateral, client materials for print, video, and Web.
  • Build strong working relationships with key members of sales, client service, and investment specialist’s teams
  • Lead creative team in development of materials balancing the need to meet client objectives with materials that break through the clutter
  • Oversee budget and manage vendors.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of account experience at an agency.
  • Must possess excellent relationship skills, outstanding presentation skills and have the ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Candidate needs to be able to work collaboratively across the enterprise
